These are famous words from Peter Drucker, who is one of the most widely-known and influential thinkers on management. He is known as the “man who invented management”.
Pretty sweet.
When you think about what it takes to run a really successful Martial Arts School (and yes – we all have different definitions of what that looks like – so let me share mine).
Success in a Martial Arts School for me, as a Business Owner just like you, looks like me working because I WANT to, not because I HAVE to.
Success looks like a minimum profit of 20% per year.
Success looks like building a community of like minded individuals who are unlocking their hidden postnatal through training in the martial arts.
Success looks like my staff growing into becoming better versions of themselves while our School pays them a fair and competitive salary with benefits.
That’s what I mean when I say a “Successful Martial Arts School”.
Your definition is probably different.
Once we define what success looks like – we have to create a roadmap to get there.
And every single time that brings me back to innovation and marketing.
If we are constantly innovating our programs, services, equipment, schedule, and curriculum – we are going to get better.
And if we are getting better – we will attract more people.
But in order to really do that – we have to get more eyeballs on your business – which means we have to have Marketing in place.
